6 p.m. today and Saturday at the Hudson Avenue beach in Harvey Cedars
The event consists of seven races today and nine more Saturday. The participating teams: defending champion Barnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Surf City and Ship Bottom. Long Beach Township and Beach Haven will not participate. There were disagreements over where the LBI Tournament would be held, and over a new race proposed by Long Beach Township, which was rejected.

In 2010, Barnegat Light won the team title for the second year in a row with 90 points. Harvey Cedars was second with 74. Surf City, the winner in 2007 and 2008, had 70 points for third place. Ship Bottom was fourth with 58.
Barnegat Light again looked strong on July 25 with a 20-point win in the Ship Bottom Lifeguard Invitational. Zach Kohl, Nate Castiello, Nate Humberston, Don Adams Jr., Tom Elwood and Kati Lyons led Barnegat Light to the win. Harvey Cedars won the Surf City Epic Lifeguard Tournament on July 7.
Today's races will include the mile row, the women's paddle race, the buoy rescue, the paddle relay, the women's row, the surfboat rescue and the iron-man race.
Saturday's races consist of the 1,000-foot doubles row, the 1,000-foot swim, the women's swim, the paddle rescue, the line race, the singles row, the mixed-doubles row, the 1,500-foot paddle race and the surf-dash relay.
