The Richard Stockton College men's basketball team lost to host Ramapo College 74-64 in a key New Jersey Athletic Conference game on Monday in Mahwah.

The Ospreys lost sole possession of second place in the NJAC and are now tied with Rutgers-Newark for the spot. Stockton fell to 17-6 (12-5). Ramapo (21-3), the No. 16 team in NCAA Division III according to D3hoops.com, leads the NJAC at 15-2.

Ramapo put five players in double figures, led by Elgin Brown, who scored 18 points. Brown also had 18 rebounds and three blocks.

For the Ospreys, Josh Blamon scored 16 points and had three steals, Darnell McCargo added 11 points and three assists, and Nnamdi Usuwa had 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Stockton ends the regular season at 8 p.m. home against Rowan University on Wednesday. The outcome of the game and the Rutgers-Newark vs. Kean outcome will determine the second and third seeds in the NJAC Tournament. The Stockton women's team host Rowan at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Stockton women's basketball: Ramapo College took the lead for good late in the first half and beat visiting Stockton 58-52 in an NJAC game.

The Roadrunners are 17-7 overall and 10-5 in the conference, while Stockton dropped to 11-12 and 6-9.

Ramapo's Michaela Moore and Faith Flannery each scored 16 points.

Kelsey Brown led the Ospreys with 15 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. Che'Na Thompson had 14 points, six rebounds and three steals, Alex Nardoza had nine points. Sara Farrell had five assists.

Stockton has clinched the No. 6 seed in the NJAC Tournament, which begins Saturday.
