Local college notebook: Delaware's Andrew Pierce breaks 100-yard rushing mark for second straight game

Delaware running back Andrew Pierce (Cumberland Regional) was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row after posting back-to-back 100 yard rushing games to begin his collegiate career, becoming the first Blue Hen to ever achieve that feat. In two games, Pierce has 284 yards on 39 carries, and is leading the league in average yards per game with 142.
