Adrian College freshman Tricia DeFelice (Ocean City) won first place in the senior ladies short and long dance programs as Adrian won the Hoosier Challenge Intercollegiate Figure Skating Competition at Indiana University on Jan. 13. DeFelice also came in third place in the gold level solo ice dance and fourth in the international level solo ice dance. Adrian won the team title with 109 points in a field of 12 colleges.
Third-ranked Brian Broderick (Southern Regional) won by technical fall 19-3 in 6 minutes, 50 seconds at 184 pounds as The College of New Jersey defeated the United States Merchant Marine Academy 33-10. In a 21-17 win over third-ranked Centenary College, Broderick sealed the victory with a pin in 56 seconds at 197 pounds.
Wentworth Institute of Technology sophomore Kevin Crowe (St. Augustine Prep) recorded an assist in a 4-2 Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Northeast win over Western New England. Crowe recorded his first career hat trick as the Leopards won their third straight, 4-3 in overtime against Salve Regina. He assisted the game-winning goal with 2:56 left in the overtime.
Men's track and field
The College of New Jersey's Jake Lindacher (Egg Harbor Township) tied classmate Zachary Errichetti for first in the 60-meter high hurdles in 9.28 seconds at the Haverford Invitational.
Monmouth University senior Ford Palmer (Absegami) broke his own school record by seven seconds in the mile run in 4:01.9 at the Terrier Invitational in Boston.
Women's track and field
TCNJ's Christine Seddon (Southern Regional) placed second in the 60-meter high hurdles in 10.39 at the Haverford Invitational.
