The Richard Stockton College baseball team lost to New Jersey City University 4-2 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game Thursday.

George Eisenhart went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for the Ospreys.

Ospreys starting pitcher Jim Schram allowed eight hits and two runs and struck out one in a no-decision.

Cumberland County baseball: The Dukes beat Gloucester County 6-4.

Cody Staschak (Oakcrest) went eight innings to earn the win, striking out six. Tim Gallagher (Hammonton) went 3-for-3, including a triple, and had one RBI. Anthony Lopez (Buena Regional) went 2-for-5, including a double, with an RBI.

Atlantic Cape softball: The Buccaneers split a doubleheader with Lehigh Carbon Community College on Wednesday, losing 4-2 and then winning 9-3 for their first victory of the season.

In the first game, Sam Sweeney had three hits and two RBIs for Atlantic Cape.

In the second game, Shannon Kemmerer had three hits and an RBI. Sweeney added two hits and an RBI, and Sam Shepherd had a triple and three RBIs. Kemmerer struck out eight.

Atlantic Cape (1-7) will play at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday at noon.
