The Richard Stockton College baseball team lost to Rutgers-Camden 6-4 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference game Thursday.
Sophomore Matt Mangarella hit an RBI single in the fifth to bring the Ospreys to within 4-2. The Ospreys tied the game in the seventh inning on junior Brett Solomen's two-run single.
However, Rutgers-Camden scored in the top of the eighth to take the lead for good.
The Ospreys will travel to Rutgers-Camden on Friday at 3:30 p.m. to face the Scarlet Raptors again.

Stockton softball: The Ospreys split a non-conference doubleheader against Stevens College, losing 3-0 and then winning 3-1.
Sophomore Gianna Cuffari had three hits, including a double, with two RBIs for the Ospreys in the first game.
Sophomore outfielder Nicole Forte went 2-for-3 and scored a run in the second game. Cuffari went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the victory.
The Ospreys, who are 18-10 overall, will travel to Ramapo on Saturday for an NJAC doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

Cumberland County College baseball: The Dukes defeated host Camden County College 6-0 in Blackwood.
Anthony Lopez (Buena Regional) was 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI for the Dukes, and Jose Martinez went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
Winning pitcher Josh O'Neill (Millville) pitched the complete-game shutout, scattering five hits and striking out six.
Cumberland (29-6) is ranked No. 3 in Division III by the National Junior College Athletic Association.
The Dukes also beat host Mercer County Community College 21-4 Wednesday in a game shortened to seven innings.
Cody Stashak (Oakcrest) homered twice, doubled and had seven RBIs, and Lopez was 3-for-5, including two doubles, and five RBIs.
Mercer (27-4) is ranked third by the NJCAA in Division II.
Atlantic Cape Community College softball: The Buccaneers swept Cumberland County College 6-1 and 13-5 in a doubleheader Thursday.
In the first game, Atlantic Cape's Samantha Sweeney and Samantha Donovan each had two hits, and Donovan drove in three runs. Cumberland's Alison Riegal, Jess Jacobson and Cheyenne Langlois each singled.
During the five-inning second game, Donovan and Veronica Gaffney each had two hits, while Shannon Kemmerer had a double and had three RBIs for the Buccaneers.
Natalie Hill, Langlois and Brittany Crovo each singled for the Dukes.
Kemmerer was the winning pitcher in both games, allowing only six hits total.
The Buccaneers improved to 5-10. They host a doubleheader against Union College on Saturday beginning at noon.
Cumberland is 2-8 and plays a doubleheader at Brookdale Community College in Middletown, Monmouth County, today at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
