The Richard Stockton College baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to host William Paterson University in Union on Saturday, 7-2 and 6-5.

The losses snapped a three-game winning streak by the Ospreys, who dropped to 12-9 overall and 0-2 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.

Center fielder Mike Bush (Southern Regional) led Stockton with four hits on the day. Shawn Kessler had two hits in the first game, and Travis Marra, Mark Jankowski and Luke Root (Buena Regional) each had two hits in Game 2.

The Pioneers had 10 hits in the first game and 14 in the second..

Stockton track and field: Nicole Salge and Morgan Sinclair were winners for the Stockton women and Tim Miller (Pinelands Regional) won for the Stockton men at the Ramapo Northeast Invitational in Mahwah.

Salge won the women's 800 meters in 2 minutes, 21.61 seconds, and Sinclair took the women's 3,000 meters in 10:37.82. Miller won the men's high jump with a height of 1.90 meters.

Earning second-place finishes for the Ospreys were Jamie Christensen (women's 400 hurdles), Megan Palmer (women's discus), and Jack Stephenson (Ocean City) in the men's javelin.

There was no team scoriing.

Cumberland County College baseball: The Dukes swept a doubleheader at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, Pa., winning 10-1 and then 3-0.

Chet Godfrey (Millville) pitched a complete game and struck out eight, with one walk. Cody Stashak (Oakcrest) and Devin McCann each had two hits.

Stashak pitched a one-hitter in Game 2, with five strikeouts and two walks. Vaughn Watson (Vineland), Stashak and McCann each went 2-for-4.

Cumberland is 16-6.
