Richard Stockton College's Susie Balidemaj scored the first two goals of the game to lead the Ospreys field hockey team to a 4-1 over visiting Gwynedd-Mercy College (Pa.) on Tuesday. The win was the third straight for the Ospreys (7-3).

Stockton scored all of its goals in the first half. Rileigh Ruff scored off an assist by Megan Irving to make it 3-0, and Irving added a goal.

Stockton goalie Liz Stankiewicz played into the 63rd minute and had two saves. Sara Winters finished up in goal for the Ospreys and didn't have to make a stop.

Stockton hosts SUNY New Paltz at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Player of the Week Award winners: Richard Stockton saw three of its athletes earn New Jersey Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors.

Starting in men's soccer, freshman Anthony Colofranson earned the Rookie of Week award for the second time this week.

Colofranson had four goals, including a pair of game-winners for the Ospreys. His first goal came on Sept. 25 against The College of New Jersey, and he then scored a hat trick in a 5-4 win over William Paterson on Sept. 28.

For the field hockey team, junior Colleen Knight was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week. It was the first time she won the award in her career.

Knight scored two goals and added an assist for five points for the Ospreys. She scored the game-winner on Sept. 24 to beat Rowan University for the first time in team history and added a goal on Sept. 28 against Keystone College.

In volleyball, senior Nicole Serkian was named the NJAC Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. She led the Ospreys with 69 kills and 13 aces and added 44 digs in six games.

Stockton men's basketball: Stockton men's assistant basketball coach Bob Hutchings was inducted into the Wheeling Jesuit University Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday. Hutchings is an alumnus of Wheeling Jesuit, and was a four-year letter winner at the then-called Wheeling College before graduating in 1973.

Hutchings scored 1,046 points playing basketball at Wheeling.

Cumberland County College men's soccer: The Cumberland County College men's soccer team defeated the County College of Philadelphia, 5-0, on Tuesday.

A.J. Gazzara (Buena Regional) and Shawn Dunn each scored two goals. Cornel Lawrence (Cumberland Regional) scored the other goal.

Josue Guadarrama (Buena) had two assists and Kenny Truon (Vineland), Kevin Benitez (Cumberland) and Gazzara each had one assist. Brandon Bischer (Cumberland) made three saves.
