Local college roundup: Stockton men's soccer team beats Neumann on Anthony Fiorletti's goal

Anthony Fiorletti scored from 25 feet away in the 79th minute to give the Richard Stockton College men's soccer team a 1-0 win over visiting Neumann University (Pa.) in a nonleague game Monday in Galloway Township.

The win evened Stockton's record at 5-5-1 and broke a two-game losing streak. Neumann is 5-4-2.

Stockton's Bob Millar made two saves for the shutout. Neumann's Tim Glaccum made one save.

The Ospreys host 17th ranked Montclair State University at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Stockton Run/Walk: Richard Stockton College will hold the fifth annual Stockton Alumni Legacy Fund Run/Walk on Sunday at G. Larry James Stadium in Galloway Township.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m.

There will be a 5K-run (3.1 miles) with cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 for the top three male and female finishers. There also will be a two-mile walk. Registration is $20 through Friday and $25 the day of the event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the G. Larry James Legacy Fund for Stockton scholarships.
