The College of New Jersey defeated Richard Stockton College 17-0 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference women's lacrosse matchup on Tuesday.

The Lions are ranked fourth in the Intercollegeiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

Jen Garavente led the Lions with five goals and three assists. Sophomore goalie Mary Strones took the loss for the Ospreys with two saves

.Stockton is now 9-5 and 1-4 in the conference. TCNJ improves to 13-1 and a perfect 5-0 in conference.

The Ospreys will play their final regular-season game Saturday when they travel to Ramapo for a 1 p.m. game.

Atlantic Cape baseball: The Buccaneers swept Raritan Community College in a doubleheader that was played at Surf Stadium. Pitcher Andrew Meyers led the Bucs in the first game, allowing one run over seven innings and striking out eight in a 3-1 victory. Meyers also had two hits in the first game for ACCC.

Kurt Hamby only allowed five hits in six innings in the second game to help give the Bucs the 7-4 win.

ACCC will play again at Surf Stadium today against Ocean County College at 3:30 p.m.
