Avalon Country Club

Jim Riviello had a 76 to win low gross in an Old Friends Athletic Association tournament Tuesday. Jim Faulk (78) was second Joe Maguire (79) third. Riviello (65) won low net, followed by Maguire (67) and John Trueman (68). Wayne Schlegel was closest to the pin at 1 inch; J.B. Flora, 6 feet, 7 inches.

Weekly match play - Faulk, 20; Dave Cistone and Ed Keenan, 16; Jack Rothwell, 15.

B.L. England at Green Tree Golf Course

Bunny Sheeron won Flight 1 with a 34 in a Best Nine Tournament (back or front minus half handicap) on July 25. Dian Shivers (34) and Alice Booth (34) were second. Barb Weber had low putts with 29.

Flight 2 - Linda Stickney-31.5; low putts, Joanne Burns, 32.

Flight 3 - Ricci Muzslay, 31,5; Claire Moyer, 34; low putts, Gail Davis, 32.

Flight 4 - Marge Gabrielle, 28.52; Paula Finnerty and Maryanne Jones, 33; low putts, Fran Watkins, 35.

Carole Boland and Deb Jones had a 37 to win a Nine-Holers Tournament. Boland had low putts with 20.

Buena Vista Country Club

Toni Taormina, Vineland, had a 52.5 to win a Tee to Green Tournament on a show of cards. Cookie Stavoli, Newfield, 52.5, was second with Colleen Black, Elmer, 53.5, third.

Greate Bay Country Club

Pat Dougherty won Flight A of the two-week Summer Classic on July 24 and Tuesday. Mary Beth Grant was second.

Flight B - Jan Smith over Susan McCully.

Flight C - Susan Seilback over Bobbi Lutz.

Marie Mulligan won a Silver Tees tournament with Annette Lombardo second.

On Monday, Pat Patrizio, Bob Zimmermann, Charles Pancoast and Stu Price had a 153 to win a Swingers' Club tournament (net ball mix of one better ball on holes 1-6; two better balls on holes 7-12; and three better balls on holes 13-18). Tom Hooker, Jules Rosenfeld, Lew Wolf and George Yocum draw had a 158 to tie Jan Gouza, Pete Gehrke, Yocum and Jerry Speitel for second.

Gouza shot an 82 for low net. Ron Giaconia and Jim Vachris tied for second one stroke back. Zimmermann and Hooker had chip-ins. Lew Wolf had a gross birdie.

Bill Camp, Pancoast, Bob Hilly, and Bob McDonnell had a 246 to win a tournament (net ball mix of Player ABCD net plus two better ball net of other three players) July 25. Giaconia, Gehrke, Speitel and Tom Devlin were second at 250 with Nick Kihm, Matt Vollmer, Pete Shafron and Camp draw were third at 254. McDonnell won low net at 82. Giaconia, Matt Vollmer and Speitel tied for second at 83. Rich Bennett, Bob Morris, Vollmer and Pete Shafron had chip-ins. John Carroll and Bob Hilly had gross birdies.

Green Tree Golf Course

Kristen Williams, Marla Balcerski, Holly Dionne and Diane Birkbeck won low gross in a Nine-Hole League tournament. JoAnn Bonanni, Dale Praetorious, Alice Stull and Donna Bahnck won low net. Williams, Birkbeck and Jacque'Jones had the lowest scores. Jones, Williams, Bahnck and Andrea Lipski won birdie contests. Kristen Williams won closest to the pin. Alice Stull was closest to the beachball. Marla Balcerski won low putts.

Linwood Country Club

France Hermann, Gert Novin, Debbie Borman and Susan Mayer won low net in a Rainbow Game on Wednesday.Amy Remer, Lois Stern, Myra Goldberg and Bethanie Gorny were second with Jayne Suskin, Claire Frankel and Susan Adelman third.

The Pines at Clermont

Margo Doyle won Flight 1 in a Monday Evening Ladies League Nancy Berkett was second, followed by Rita Seamon and Sunny Smith.

Flight 2 - Eileen Harner; Penny Auch; Winnie Mahoney; Carolyn King.

Patrick and Joey Neiman won a Two-Player Scramble on July 25. Ed and George Rumer were second. Paul Allegretto was closest to the pin.

Stone Harbor Golf Club

Cindy Fessick won a Par 4s Only Tournament on Tuesday. Diane Metz was second with Claire Miraglia third.

Vineyard Golf at Renault

Ginny Habakus, Bonnie Cappelluti and Marilyn Dunn won a Low Putts Tournament. Barb Petuskey (75) won low gross.

Wildwood Golf and Country Club

Nancy McKelvey won low gross and Terry Chila took low net in Flight A in a Memorial Remembrance/Putts for Petey Tournament on Wednesday.

Flight B - Low gross, Ida Trimboli; low net, Nancy Cipolla; Flight C - low gross, Marie Macatee; low net, Betty Lou Nichols; Flight D - low gross, Hannah Miller; low net, Karen Ortman; Putts for Petey, Jeannie Morris

South Jersey Golf Association

Andres Foese of Sea Oaks Golf Club won the men's Amateur championship flight at Laurel Creek Country Club on Monday with a 72, two strokes better than John Murphy of Wildwood Golf and Country Club.

Heather Petronis of Greate Bay Country Club finished second in the women's Amateur championship flight with an 81.

Flight 1 - Sue Kamish, Pinelands Golf Course, 86; Kathy Callender, Vineyard Golf at Renault, 91. Flight 2 - Ione Laffey, Wildwood Golf and Country Club, 88.

Sue Bennett of Cape May National won the Senior Women's Amateur Championship at Vineyard Golf at Renault on July 19 with a 78.

Flight 1 - Kamish, Pinelands, 84; Callender, Vineyard, 85.

Ginny Habakus of Vineyard won the Super Senior event with an 88.

Flight 2 - Laffey, Wildwood, 86; Marilyn Dunn, Vineyard, 88.

Flight 3 - Gail Reilly, Cape May National, was second with a 102.

New Jersey State Golf Association

Brian Sexton (80-80-160) of Seaview Golf Resort tied for 17th in the Senior Amateur Championship at New Jersey Country Club in Wayne on Tuesday. Tomas DiCinti (79-84-164) of Centerton tied for 24th

Charles Honeker of Blue Heron Pines Golf Club (44-39-83) did not make the cut in the Super-Senior Championship on Monday.

Junior Golf Association

Kasey Frazier of Galloway won the girls 18 and under division of the Jr. Masters at Galloway National Golf Club on July 17 and Atlantic City Country Club on July 18 with a 25-over-par 166. Erin DiDonato of Hammonton was second with a 178. Madison Feshuk of Northfield was third at 198. She also finished third in the coed intermediate division.

Colin Roche of Northfield was third in the boys advanced division with a 154.
