Pro John Appleget of Wildwood Golf and Country Club tied for 25th in the Open Championship Monday at Pine Valley Golf Club with a 14-over-par 77-77-154. Amateur Alex Hicks, also of Wildwood (79-77-156), tied for 35th. Amateur Andrew Mason of Huntingdon Valley Country Club successfully defended his Open title with a 70-74-144.

Benjamin Hogan of Egg Harbor Township finished 10th in boys 16-18 with a 27-over-par 98 at White Oaks Country Club in Newfield on Tuesday.Camille O'Halloran of Northfield was with sixth in the nine-hole division with a 15-over 51.
Gregory Szrom (76-72-148) of Egg Harbor Township tied for first in the Dover Series at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club in Wyoming, Del., on July 19.
