A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is scheduled to start for the for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) against the visiting Potomac Nationals at 2:05 p.m. today in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.

Holland is 3-2 with a 3.18 ERA in nine starts. In 51 innings, he has given up 48 hits, walked 23 and struck out 34.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-4 for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 7-2 loss to the Huntsville Stars (Brewers) in the double-A Southern League on Saturday.

Szczur, who led off and played center field, is hitting .283 with 28 runs scored, 21 RBIs and 13 stolen bases on 17 attempts in 44 games.

Darren Ford (Vineland) appeared as a pinch runner and was caught trying to steal second base for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 2-1 loss to the Buffalo Bisons (Blue Jays) of the triple-A International League.

Ford, an outfielder, is batting .235 with 11 runs scored, seven RBIs and 12 stolen bases on 16 attempts in 26 games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 3-4 with a 3.64 ERA through nine starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners)of the Burlington Bees (Angels) in the Class-A Midwest League.

In 47 innings, he has allowed 48 hits, walked 15 and struck out 36. DeCecco's last start was Thursday.
