Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) went 0-for-4 with a strikeout for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers in a 7-5 win over the Lake Erie Crushers in Game 2 of the best-of-five Frontier League championship series Sunday night. The Boomers lead the series 2-0.

Game 3 will be played at Lake Erie (Avon, Ohio) on Tuesday. If necessary, Lake Erie would host Game 4 on Wednesday, and the Boomers would host a decisive Game 5 Thursday.

Colon, who is from Vineland, hit .375 (3-for-8) with two home runs, four RBIs and five walks in four games in a semifinal series against the Florence (Ky.) Freedom.

He is hitting. 214 overall in the postseason.
