Darren Ford (Vineland) went 1-for-4 with two RBIs, a run, a walk and a stolen base for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 5-4, 10-inning loss to the Toledo Mud Hens (Tigers) in the triple-A International League on Saturday night.

Ford, who led off and played left field, is hitting .230 with 27 runs scored, 17 RBIs and 23 stolen bases on 31 attempts in 69 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) was 1-for-5 through for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 10-2 loss to the Montgomery Biscuits (Rays) in the double-A Southern League.

Szczur, who led off and played center field, is hitting .282 with 64 runs scored, 41 RBIs and 21 stolen bases on 32 attempts in 109 games. His on-base percentage is .352.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 4-8 with a 4.79 ERA in 21 starts for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) in the single-A Carolina League.

In 107 innings, Holland has given up 113 hits and 50 walks with 73 strikeouts. His last start was Thursday.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 9-8 with a 4.42 ERA in 23 starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) in the single-A Midwest League.

In 126 1/3 innings, he has given up 129 hits, walked 40 and struck out 72. His last start was Friday.

Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Princeton Rays in the rookie-level Appalachian League.

In 17 2/3 innings, he had allowed 12 hits, walked seven and struck out 16. He has not pitched since Aug. 2.

Independent leagues (unaffiliated with MLB)

Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) went 0-for-3 for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers in both ends of a doubleheader split with the Evansville Otters in the Frontier League.

Colon, who played center field in one game and right field in the other, is hitting .267 with five home runs, 28 RBIs and 27 runs in 65 games.

On Friday night, he hit a two-out, two-run homer in the seventh inning to propel the Boomers to a 5-4 win over the Normal CornBelters.

Charlie Law (Mainland Regional) is 2-1 with a 2.93 ERA in three starts for the Rockland (N.Y.) Boulders in the Can-Am League.

In 15 1/3 innings, he has given up 17 hits, walked 13 and struck out four.  His last start was Thursday.
