Darren Ford (Vineland) went 3-for-4 with a run scored an RBI and two stolen bases for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 7-5 loss to the Charlotte Knights (White Sox) in the the triple-A International League on Friday night. Ford, who batted ninth and played center field, is hitting .223 with 14 runs scored, 10 RBIs and 16 stolen bases on 20 attempts in 36 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 2-for-5, including a double, with a walk and an RBI for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in an 8-7 loss to the Chatta-

nooga Lookouts (Dodgers) in the double-A Southern League. Szczur, who led off and played right field, is hitting .288 with 38 runs scored, 30 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 68 games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is scheduled to start today for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) at Burlington in in the Class-A Midwest League. He is 5-6 with a 4.24 ERA in 13 starts.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 3-4 with a 4.56 ERA in 14 starts this season for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League. His next start has not yet been announced.
