Darren Ford (Vineland) went 2-for-5, scored a run and knocked in another for the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) in a 9-1 win over the Las Vegas 51s (Blue Jays) in a triple-A Pacific Coast League game Saturday night. Ford, who led off and played center field, also stole his sixth base of the season. He is hitting .353 in 12 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional), batting third as the designated hitter, went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts for the Daytona Cubs in a 5-2 loss to the Dunedin Blue Jays in the Advanced-A Florida State League game. Szczur is hitting .289 through 57 games.

Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep) and the Eugene Emeralds (Padres) were scheduled to play the Vancouver Canadians (Blue Jays) in the short-season Class A Northwest League, but the game was postponed. Colon, an outfielder, is hitting .125 (2-for-16) with one home run and two RBIs in six games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) did not pitch for the Everett AquaSox (Mariners) in a 4-2 win over the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Giants) in the Northwest League. He is 0-1 with a 3.68 ERA in four games, including one start.
