Darren Ford (Vineland) went 0-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base for the Fresno Grizzlies (Giants) in a 6-2 loss to the Reno Aces (Diamondbacks) Sunday in the Pacific Coast League. On Saturday, Ford went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts in an 8-6 loss to Reno. Ford an outfielder, is hitting .300 (9-for-30) in 13 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 1-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored for the Iowa Cubs in a 12-11 win over the Nashville Sounds (Brewers) Sunday in a triple-A Pacific Coast League game. On Saturday, Szczur went 1-for-4 with a double and a strikeout for the Iowa Cubs in a 10-1 loss to Nashville. Szczur, an outfielder, is hitting .237 (22-for-93) in 27 games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is scheduled to start Thursday for the High Desert Mavericks (Mariners) of the Advanced Class-A California League. The Mavericks are slated to face the Visalia Rawhide (Diamondbacks). He is 2-2 with a 5.63 ERA in eight games, including five starts.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) went five innings, giving up two runs on six hits with a walk and four strikeouts while picking up the victory for the Rome Braves (Braves) in a 13-2 win over the Asheville Tourists (Rockies) in the Class-A South Atlantic League on Saturday. Holland is 1-0 with a 4.50 ERA in two starts.
