Darren Ford (Vineland) was 0-for-3 for the Indianapolis Indians in a 3-0 loss to the Louisville Bats (Cincinnati) in a triple-A International League game Sunday.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) started and was the losing pitcher for the High Desert Mavericks (Mariners) in a 6-1 loss to the Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres) in the Class-A Advanced California League on Saturday night.
DeCecco pitched 5 1/3 innings, giving up two runs on four hits, including a home run, and three walks. He struck out five.
The score was 1-1 when DeCecco left the game, but he was responsible for the runner who came around to score on the relief pitcher who replaced the left-handed starter.
He is 10-9 with a 4.26 ERA in 27 starts overall this season. In 150 innings, he has given up 153 hits, walked 46 and struck out 92. He also pitched 24 games for the Clinton LumberKings in the single-A Midwest League this season. He is 1-1 with a 2.55 ERA in three starts since his promotion.
A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) did not pitch for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) as they lost two games to the Salem Red Sox on Sunday in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.
Salem won the continuation of Saturday's suspended game 2-1 and then the regularly scheduled game 3-0.
Holland is 5-9 with a 4.83 ERA in 27 appearances, all but the last four of which were starts. In 119 1/3 innings, he had allowed 130 hits, walked 57 and struck out 78.
Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) went 0-3 with a 5.30 ERA in 12 relief appearances this season for the Princeton (W.Va.) Rays in the rookie league Appalachian League.
In 182/3 innings, he allowed 12 hits, walked seven and struck out 17.
The Rays ended the season 25-43, including 18-16 in the second half.
