Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-3 with a walk for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a  6-4 loss to the Chattanooga Lookouts (Dodgers) on Saturday night in the double-A Southern League.

Szczur is hitting .281 with 66 runs scored, 41 RBIs and 21 stolen bases on 33 attempts in 115 games. His on-base percentage is .353.

He is sixth in the league in runs scored, tied for 12th in stolen bases and 14th in on-base percentage.

Darren Ford (Vineland) did not play for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 3-1 win over the Columbus Clippers (Indians) in the triple-A International League.

In 74 games, he is hitting .237 with 17 RBIs, 30 runs scored and 24 stolen bases on 33 attempts.

He is eighth in the league in stolen bases.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 4-8 with a 4.83 ERA in 22 starts for the Lynchburg (Va.) Hillcats of the Class-A Advanced League.

In 110 innings, he has given up 118 hits, walked 53 and struck out 75. His last start was Tuesday.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 9-8 with a 4.49 ERA in 24 starts for the Clinton (Iowa) LumberKings (Mariners) in the single-A Midwest League.

In 132 1/3 innings, he has given up 136 hits, walked 42 and struck out 77. He is scheduled to start Tuesday night against the Kane County Cougars (Cubs).

Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Princeton (W.Va.) Rays in the rookie-level Appalachian League.

In 17 1/3 innings, he has allowed 12 hits, walked seven and struck out 16. He has not pitched since Aug. 2.

Alexi Colon (St. Augustine Prep), from Vineland, did not play for the Schaumburg (Ill.) Boomers in a 9-4 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums in the Frontier League on Saturday.

Colon, an outfielder, is hitting .257 with five home runs, 29 RBIs and 27 runs in 69 games.

Charlie Law (Mainland Regional) is 2-2 with a 3.37 ERA in four starts for the Rockland (N.Y.) Boulders in the Can-Am League.

In 21 1/3 innings, he has allowed 26 hits, walked 14 and struck out seven. He made his last start Tuesday.
