Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 2-for-3 with a run scored and was picked off first base for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 5-2 win over the Mississippi Braves in the double-A Southern League on Saturday. Szczur, who led off and played center field, is hitting .293 with 38 runs scored, 28 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 63 games.

Darren Ford (Vineland) did not play for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 4-2 loss to the Durham Bulls (Rays) in the triple-A International League. Ford is hitting .202 with 22 hits, 11 runs scored, nine RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 33 games.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 3-4 with a 4.43 ERA in 13 starts this season for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League. In 69 innings, he has given up 69 hits and 34 walks while striking out 45. His last start was Monday, and his next start has not yet been announced.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 5-6 with a 4.24 ERA in 13 starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) in the Class-A Midwest League. In 68 innings, he has given up 68 hits and 23 walks while striking out 48. His last start was Thursday, and his next has yet to be announced.
