Szczur is hitting .283 with 64 runs scored, 40 RBIs and 21 steals on 32 attempts in 107 games. His on-base percentage is .349.
Darren Ford (Vineland) was 2-for-5, including a double, with a stolen base and a run for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 2-1 win against the Toledo Mud Hens (Tigers) in the triple-A International League.
Ford, who led off and played center field, is hitting .228 with 23 runs scored, 15 RBIs and 22 stolen bases on 30 attempts in 67 games.
A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) started and took the loss, giving up four runs on four hits and a walk in 2 1/3 innings, for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in a 11-2 defeat to the Wilmington Blue Rocks (Royals) in a Class A Advanced Carolina League game. He struck out two.
Holland is 4-8 with a 4.70 ERA in 21 starts. In 107 innings, Holland hasgiven up 113 hits and 50 walks while striking out 73.
Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Princeton Rays in the rookie-level Appalachian League. He did not pitch in a 3-1 loss to the Bluefield Blue Jays.
