Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional H.S.) went 1-for-4 with a walk and scored the game-winning run while leading off and playing right field for the Iowa Cubs in a 4-3 win over the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals) in a triple-A Pacific Coast League game Sunday. He was also caugh stealing. On Saturday, batting leadoff and playing center field, Szczur was 1-for-3, including a walk and a run scored in an 11-1 loss to Memphis.

Darren Ford (Vineland) went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout while batting seventh and playing left field for the Fresno Grizzlies (Giants) in a 6-5 loss to the Las Vegas 51s (Mets) in the Pacific Coast League on Sunday. Ford went 1-for-1 with an RBI and a run scored as a pinch hitter Saturday.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is a pitcher for the High Desert Mavericks (Mariners) of the Advanced Class-A California League. The Mavericks defeated Inland Empire (Angels) 2-1 Sunday. DeCecco has not yet made his season debut.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit), a pitcher for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League, started the season on the disabled list with an unspecified injury.
