Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) did not play for the Daytona Cubs for the third straight day, sitting out a 4-0 loss to the Fort Myers Miracle (Twins) in the Advanced-A Florida State League on Sunday

Sczur has not played since Thursday. Daytona had not announced whether Szczur has an injury.

Szczur, who was named an FSL all-star Friday, is hitting .267 in 48 games, including .306 in his last 10. He leads the league in runs (43) and stolen bases (19) and has an on-base percentage of .359.

Szczur was one of four outfielders chosen for the North team for the June 16 all-star game.

Darren Ford (Vineland) remained on the disabled list (broken finger) for the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariners) in the triple-A Pacific Coast League. Ford, an outfielder, has yet to play this season.
