Mike Trout (Millville) went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and four runs scored as the Arkansas Travelers (Angels double-A) pounded the Springfield Cardinals 13-5 on Wednesday night. Trout is hitting .318 with nine home runs and 24 RBIs.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional), a center fielder for the Peoria Chiefs (Cubs single-A), went 0-for-2 in the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday night in Davenport, Iowa. His Mid West All-Stars won the game 8-3 over their East Division counterparts at Modern Woodmen Park. Szczur and the Chiefs return to action Friday night vs. the Kane County (Ill.) Cougars. Szczur is hitting .327 with five home runs and 24 RBIs in 51 games.
