Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) earned the victory for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) in a 10-5 victory over the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (Brewers) in the Class-A Midwest League on Saturday night.

In five innings, he gave up two runs and four hits, including a home run. He walked two and struck out four, throwing 86 pitches, 58 for strikes. He got eight groundouts and one flyout.

DeCecco improved to 5-5 with a 4.00 ERA in 12 starts. In 63 innings, he has given up 62 hits, struck out 47 and walked 22.

Darren Ford (Vineland) was 1-for-3 with two RBIs, including a game-winning sacrifice fly, for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 3-2, 11-inning victory over the Norfolk Tides (Orioles) in the triple-A International League.

Ford, who batted ninth and played left field, is hitting .222 with 11 runs scored, nine RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 30 games.

Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) was 0-for-5 for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 3-2, 10-inning loss to the Mobile BayBears (Diamondbacks) in the double-A Southern League.

Szczur, who led off and played center field, is hitting .289 with 35 runs scored, 26 RBIs and 15 stolen bases.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is 3-4 with a 3.74 ERA in 12 starts this season for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.

In 65 innings, he has givenn up 60 hits, struck out 43 and walked 33. Holland’s last start was Wednesday.
