Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-4 for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 4-3 loss to the Mobile BayBears (Diamondbacks) in the double-A Southern League on Monday night.

Szczur, who led off and played center field, is hitting .284 with 36 runs scored, 26 RBIs and 15 stolen bases in 59 games.

Darren Ford (Vineland) went 0-for-4 for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 2-1 loss to the Norfolk Tides (Orioles) in the triple-A International League.

Ford, who led off and played center field, is hitting .202 with 11 runs scored, nine RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 33 games.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) got a no-decision after giving up seven runs in four innings for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in a 10-9 win over the Winston-Salem Dash (White Sox) in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.

Holland gave up nine hits, including two home runs (he had only given up a total of two in his first 12 starts), walked one and struck out two.

He is 3-4 with a 4.43 ERA in 13 starts this season. In 69 innings, he has given up 69 hits, struck out 45 and walked 34.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 5-5 with a 4.00 ERA in 12 starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) in the Class-A Midwest League.

 DeCecco has struck out 47 and walked 22 in 63 innings. His last start was Saturday and his next one has not yet been announced.
