Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 2-for-4, including a double, with one RBI and one run scored for the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) in a 5-2 win over the Huntsville Stars (Brewers) in the double-A Southern League on Sunday.

He also was picked off first base.

Szczur, who led off and played right field, is hitting .288 with 29 runs scored, 22 RBIs and 13 stolen bases on 17 attempts in 45 games.

A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) started and took the loss for the Lynchburg HillCats (Braves) in a 4-2 defeat to the Potomac Nationals in the Class-A Advanced Carolina League.

He gave up six hits and four runs and struck out four in six innings. He walked one and hit Cutter Dykstra, son of former Phillies and Mets star Lenny Dykstra, with a pitch.

Holland is 3-4 with a 3.47 ERA in 10 starts. In 57 innings, he has given up 54 hits, walked 24 and struck out 38.

Darren Ford (Vineland) went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base for the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) in a 6-5 loss to the Buffalo Bisons (Blue Jays) of the triple-A International League.

Ford, who batted ninth and played left field, is batting .239 with 11 runs scored, seven RBIs and 13 stolen bases on 16 attempts in 27 games.

Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) is 3-4 with a 3.64 ERA through nine starts for the Clinton LumberKings (Mariners) of the Burlington Bees (Angels) in the Class-A Midwest League.

In 47 innings, he has allowed 48 hits, walked 15 and struck out 36. DeCecco's last start was Thursday.
