OF Matt Szczur (Lower Cape May Regional) went 0-for-3 with a walk in the Tennessee Smokies (Cubs) 9-4 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits (Rays) in their second game Monday in the double-A Southern League.

He did not play in the completion of Sunday’s suspended game.

Szczur is hitting .281 with 64 runs scored, 41 RBIs and 21 stolen bases on 32 attempts in 110 games. His on-base percentage is .351.

RHP A.J. Holland (Holy Spirit) is scheduled to start today for the Lynchburg Hillcats (Braves) at 7:05 p.m. against the Winston-Salem Dash in the single-A Carolina League.

Holland is 4-8 with a 4.79 ERA in 21 starts. In 107 innings, He has given up 113 hits and 50 walks with 73 strikeouts.

OF Darren Ford (Vineland) and the Indianapolis Indians (Pirates) of the triple-A International League were off Monday.

Ford is hitting .230 with 17 RBIs and 23 stolen bases in 31 attempts in 70 games.

LHP Darren Fischer (Cumberland Regional) is 0-3 with a 5.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for the Princeton Rays in the rookie-level Appalachian League.

The Rays’ game Monday was postponed because of rain.

In 17 2/3 innings, he has allowed 12 hits and seven walks while striking out 16.

RHP Scott DeCecco (Middle Township) DeCecco is 9-8 with a 4.42 ERA in 23 starts for the Clinton LumberKings in the Class-A Midwest League.

In 126 1/3 innings, he has given up 129 hits, walked 40 and struck out 72. His last start was Friday.
