Vineland High School graduate Jeff Morgan had 14 tackles and Lacey Township High School alumnus Sean McAndrew caught a 15-yard touchdown pass to lead Wesley College to a 27-24 win over Mary Hardin-Baylor in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals Saturday.

The Wolverines advance to face Mount Union in the semifinals next Saturday. Mount Union has appeared in the Division III title game every year since 2005, winning three of them (2005, 2006, 2008).

McAndrew finished the game with three catches for 26 yards. His touchdown catch came on the game's opening possession as Wesley drove 80 yards on 17 plays, taking more than nine minutes.

Mary Hardin-Baylor responded with a 43-yard field goal, but Wesley dominated the Crusaders in the first half, with two touchdown passes from quarterback Shane McSweeney - a 4-yard pass to Askia Jahad and a 78-yard pass to Steven Koudossou.

The Crusaders' offense woke up in the second half with a 6-yard TD pass from LiDarral Bailey to Damian Davis to close the gap to 21-10.

But Wesley responded with a 56-yard touchdown pass from McSweeney to Matt Barile.

Crusaders running back Michael Johnson scored on a 1-yard dive to pull within 27-17, and Bailey threw a 45-yard scoring pass to Davis to close to 27-24. But Mary Hardin-Baylor could not get any closer.

McSweeney was 15-for-22 for 253 yards and four touchdowns.
