TRENTON - New Jersey finally has a new boxing commissioner.

Eleven months after firing Larry Hazzard, State Attorney General Anne Milgram announced Monday that Willingboro native and current Kansas Athletic Commission executive Aaron Davis would oversee professional boxing and mixed martial arts as commissioner of the New Jersey Athletic Control Board.

"I am very excited to get this opportunity," Davis said in a phone interview from his office in Topeka. "When I think of boxing and mixed martial arts, Atlantic City, N.J., and Las Vegas, Nev., are the two places that come to mind. It's a step up for me,

but I'm looking forward to the challenge." More
