Atlantic City bantamweight boxer Qa'id Muhammad and Somers Point super-middleweight Isiah Seldon will try to stay undefeated this week.

Muhammad (6-0, 5 KOs) will take on Steven Johnson (7-4, 4 KOs), of Saint Joseph, Mo., tonight at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark. Seldon (6-0, 3 KOs) faces Randy Campbell (3-9, 2 KOs), of Bowerston, Ohio, on Friday at the National Guard Armory in Philadelphia.

Muhammad, 23, will fight his first scheduled six-round bout after starting his career with six four-rounders. In his last outing, he posted a four-round, unanimous decision over Jose Rivera at Resorts Casino Hotel last July 16. That fight ended a two-year layoff for Muhammad, who was an alternate on the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team.

Johnson, 28, is coming off back-to-back TKO defeats after an upset over Victor Valenzuela (then 8-1) at Bally's Atlantic City on April 2, 2011.

Seldon, 23, has made steady progress since turning pro two years ago with no amateur experience. In his last fight, the son of former heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon registered a second-round knockout over Kenneth Moody at Tropicana Casino and Resort last Feb. 4.

Campbell, also 23, has been in a slump. After a 3-0 start, he has suffered nine consecutive losses, including defeats to Atlantic City fighters Lavarn Harvell (first-round TKO), Joel De La Paz (first-round TKO) and Rafael Jastrzebski (four-round decision).

Pleasantville cruiswerweight Jaywon Woods (9-1-1, 5 KOs) is also on Friday's card at the National Guard Armory. Woods, the 26-year-old son of former heavyweight contender Darroll Wilson, faces the toughest bout of his career when he meets unbeaten Venroy July (10-0-2, 4 KOs), of Suitland, Md., in a six-rounder.

Woods, a former football player at Virginia State University, earned a four-round decision over Rayshawn Myers last Jan. 13 in Philadephia. July won via second-round TKO over Zeferino Albino last Feb. 25.
