Daniel Straus won the Bellator Season 6 featherweight tournament with a unanimous three-round decision over Marlon Sandro at Caesars Atlantic City on Friday night.

Straus, who improved his career record to 20-4, now can compete for the Bellator featherweight title.

Also Friday, Marcos Galvao won a decision against Travis Marx in a Bellator bantamweight semifinal fight. Galvo advanced to the Bellator Season 6 bantamweight tournament final and closer to a possible eventual fight against Bellator world champion Eduardo "DuDu" Dantas. Later this year, Galvao will face the winner of the the upcoming Luis Nogueira-Hiroshi Nakamura fight for the Season 6 championship.

Marcin Held used a leg lock to force Derrick Kennington to tap out at 2 minutes, 8 seconds of the first round of their fight. Held improved to 13-2. Kennington, in his Bellator debut, fell to 6-3.

In the night's first fight, Marius Zaromskis beat veteran Waachiim Spiritwolf for his first Bellator victory. Between the second and third rounds, the ringside doctor stopped the fight because of a cut above Spiritwolf's right eye. Zaromskis improved to 17-6. Spiritwolf fell to 9-10-1.
