CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Jesper Horsted caught 13 passes for 246 yards and two touchdowns and threw for a 2-yard scoring pass on a reverse to help reigning Ivy League champion Princeton beat Harvard 52-17 on Friday night for its third straight victory with 50-plus points.

Rowan linebacker Kevin Stokes (Oakcrest) was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday. Stokes had six tackles, including 4.5 for a loss and two sacks, and a blocked field goal in Rowan’s 20-14 loss to The College of New Jersey on Saturday.

Four Stockton University athletes earned NJAC awards for their play last week. Alicia Belko, a senior, received the NJAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the third time. Freshman Daniel Do (Absegami) earned his second NJAC Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week.

Stockton University (15-7, 4-2 NJAC) won their first match up against Stevens Institute of Technology (17-6, 6-0) 3-0, but fell to Union College (10-14, 1-4) 3-2 in back to back matches for the Stevens Tournament in Hoboken on Friday.

Stockton University dominated all three sets against Rutgers-Camden winning 25-15, 25-17, 25-14 in Camden on Tuesday. Stockton (14-7, 4-2 NJAC) had 18 more kills than Rutgers (10-11,3-3 NJAC) and finshed with a .398 hitting percentage over the Scarlet Raptors’ .144.

The Stockton University women’s soccer team snapped a six-game winless streak with a 2-1 win over host Rutgers-Newark University on Saturday in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The Ospreys trailed 1-0 but won goals from Salena LeDonne and Mairead McKeary.

NEW BRUNSWICK — Rutgers has given athletic director Pat Hobbs a new contract less than two years after he took over the department that was reeling from a football scandal that led to the firing of coach Kyle Flood and athletic director Julie Hermann.
