You won't have to wait until next year to see basketball at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The home of the Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship just landed a two-day event, which sets a couple of the nation's top teams against each other.

The Gazelle Group announced The Legends Classic will be at Boardwalk Hall from Nov. 28-29 with Michigan State, Florida, Rutgers and the University of Massachusetts.

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon and can be purchased at the Boardwalk Hall Box Office or Ticketmaster locations. Tickets start at $10.

This is the third installment of the Legends Classic, which was held at the Prudential Center in Newark the past two years. This year, the Legends Classic had a scheduling conflict and searched for another site.

They didn't look too hard or too long. According to the Gazelle Group's Director of Communications Brian Halligan, there wasn't any other venue on the list.

"It's unique and has had a lot of restoration," said Halligan, who watched the A-10 Tournament at Boardwalk Hall. "If you go to that area, there aren't many places you're going to watch basketball."

The Gazelle Group is a sports marketing firm specializing in event production based in Princeton, N.J. They have done several tournaments, including the College Basketball Invitational, and wanted to keep the Legends Classic in New Jersey.

"We wanted to keep it local," Halligan said.

The basketball teams in the tournament all have a unique quality that can bring fans out. Michigan State made it to last year's national championship game. Florida is the most recent team to win back-to-back titles. Rutgers is the state school and UMass plays in Atlantic City during the A-10 Tournament.

According to Halligan, there currently aren't plans to extend the tournament past this season in Atlantic City.
