Rowan University senior Demetrius Rooks (Absegami High School) took second place in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.

Rooks completed the race in 51.69 seconds for his third All-America honor. He also anchored the Profs’ 4x400-meter relay team, which placed ninth in 3 minutes, 16.62 seconds.

Nova Southeastern Uni-versity junior Stephanie Hauck (Egg Harbor Town-ship) was named a second-team All-American by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Hauck also was named to the CRCA’s scholar-athletes list. The junior was a key contributor to the varsity-eight boat, rowing in six of seven events in the spring season. It was the second scholar-athlete selection for Hauck, an exercise and sports science major.

Hauck, University of Rhode Island’s Chelsea Paulin (Egg Harbor Township) and Boston University’s Lynn Ratte (Egg Harbor Township) will row in the NCAA Rowing Championships next weekend.

East Stroudsburg Univer-sity junior center fielder Chris Knott (Egg Harbor Township) was named to the All-Pennsylvania State Ath-letic Conference Tournament team last weekend. In the Atlantic Regional, he hit .750 with a double, five runs, four RBIs, four walks and a .786 on-base percentage in three games. For the season, Knott led the Warriors with a .374 batting average, 46 RBIs and 25 extra-base hits.
