Stonehill College junior Paige Frost (Holy Spirit) became the ninth player in school history and first women’s tennis player to be named the Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence award winner Tuesday.

She also received her second straight Academic All-Northeast-10 honors with a 3.66 cumulative grade-point average as a business major.

Frost was a three-time All-NE-10 performer and earned second team honors at No. 3 singles this past season with a 21-9 combined record in singles and doubles. She also led Stonehill to the NE-10 Championship match for the fourth straight year. In her career she is 51-7 at singles and 32-11 at doubles.

The Sports Network selected Villanova University senior wide receiver Norman White (St. Joseph) as a preseason second-team All-American.

As a junior in 2010, White had 69 catches for 886 yards and 11 touchdowns and was named an All-Colonial Athletic Conference Assoc-iation selection.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound captain missed last year with a foot injury.
