Sarah Bennett (Vineland) tied for third and set an FDU-Florham women’s swim team record in the 50-yard freestyle (26.6 seconds) during the first day of the Drew Invitational last Friday.
She also contributed to two other school records Friday.
She was on the record-setting second-place 200 medley relay (1:58.45) and the 200 free relay team (1:46.09).
She also finished third in the 100 butterfly.
On Saturday, Bennett swam on the 800 and 400 free relays that broke school records of 8:20.65 and 3:52.83, respectively, and she took second in the 100 free (57.04).
Tori DeLusant (Oakcrest) won the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 26.60 seconds) and swam on the second-place 200 medley relay team for Cabrini, which beat Elizabethtown 117-88 and lost to Bryn Mawr 117-87 in a Nov. 29 tri-meet.
She also swam on the winning 200 medley relay (2:01.81) in a 129-68 win over Penn State Altoona last Friday.
Alyssa Chain (Ocean City) took second in the 50 freestyle (24.05) for Iona on the first day of the Loyola Invitational last Friday. She was on the third-place 400 medley relay. On Saturday, she took third in the 100 butterfly.
Courtney Middleton (Vineland) swam on Bloomsburg’s 400 medley relay team that took eighth in 3:48.24 at the Zippy Invitational in Akron, Ohio, last Friday. She also swam on the 10th-place 200 medley relay (1:46.20) and took 15th in the 100 butterfly (57.67) on Saturday. On Sunday, she was 20th in the 200 butterfly (2:08.09).
Rachel Chain (Ocean City) was on Catholic’s winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:39.47) during the first day of the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Washington last Friday. She was 10th in the 50 freestyle (25.35). On Saturday, she was ninth in the 100 backstroke (1:03.37) and seventh in the 200 backstroke (2:17.20).
Bailey Howarth (EHT) helped the Rowan 200 medley relay team finish sixth (1:50.07) on the first day of the WPI Gompei Invitational last Friday. She took fourth in the 200 breaststroke (2:26.29) and was 11th in the 200 individual medley (2:14.17).
On Saturday, she took eighth in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.49), and Klaudia Rzotkiewicz (EHT) was ninth in the 1-meter dive (316 points). On Sunday, Rzotkiewicz and Corinne Finkbinder took 10th in the synchronized dive (56 points).
Daisey Ferraiuolo (Lacey Township) won the 500 freestyle (6:30.91) in William Paterson’s 99-72 win over Old Westbury on Saturday. She also swam on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:58.88).
