Local college basketball: Stockton men top Kean for third win in a row

Rich Suhr led Richard Stockton College with 16 points as the Ospreys beat visiting Kean University 75-55 in a New Jersey Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday in Galloway Township.

Kevin Johnson scored 12 points and had five rebounds, seven assists and two steals for Stockton. Darnell McCargo added 10 points and six rebounds for the Ospreys in its first conference game of the season.

Atlantic Cape Community College women’s basketball: Arlene Craig (Absegami) scored 20 points to lead the Buccaneers to a 57-46 win over Gloucester County College in Mays Landing.

Gloucester led 28-25 at halftime.

Atlantic Cape plays at Mercer County Community College on Friday at 2 p.m.

Atlantic Cape men’s basketball: Armin Cane (Pleasantville) led Atlantic Cape with 19 points, five rebounds and five steals as the Buccaneers fell 67-65 to Gloucester County College.

Gloucester County College led 29-20 at the half.

Cesar Sandoval (Absegami) had 14 points and Vincent Landry scored 11 points for Atlantic Cape.
