Local college roundup: Balidemaj has hat trick in Stockton field hockey win

The Richard Stockton College field hockey team snapped a six-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over visiting Albright on Tuesday.

Susie Balidemaj had a hat trick, giving her a team-high seven goals this season.

Megan Irving added one goal for the Ospreys. Sara Winters and Liz Stankiewicz combined to make six saves.

Albright 0 1- 1

Richard Stockton 2 2- 4

Goals-Dickinson A; Irving, Balidemaj (3) RSC.

Goalies-DeLucas (7) A; Winters (5), Stankiewicz (1) RSC.

Records-Albright 6-3, RSC 2-7.

Stockton awards: Morgan Sinclair was named New Jersey Athletic Conference Runner of the Week and Shannon Clark the NJAC Volleyball Rookie of the Week.

Sinclair won the New Jersey Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women Championship race on her home course Saturday in 23 minutes, 19.81 seconds. Her finish in the 6-kilometer race led the Ospreys to a second-place finish among eight teams. It was her second career win and her first NJAC Runner of the Week award.

Clark notched her third rookie award in four weeks this season, averaging a team-high 5.07 assists per set and 1.21 digs per set as the Ospreys went 2-2 on the week.
