Top-seeded Richard Stockton College lost 74-73 to second-seeded SUNY Old Westbury in the final of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Metro men’s basketball tournament Sunday in Galloway Township.

Josh Blamon scored a career-high 30 points for the Ospreys (21-8). Kevin Johnson added 15 points and a game-high five assists.

Stockon missed its first nine shots, falling behind 7-0.

Tyrik Tucker led the visitors with 23 points. Kerel Mitchell hit a jumper with 3 minutes, 10 seconds left in the game to give Old Westbury a 74-65 lead. The New Yorkers didn’t score again.

Stockton baseball: The Ospreys split a doubleheader with Keystone College, losing the opener 7-2 but winning the second game 6-3.

Lymbel Guererro’s three-run home run in the fifth inning of Game 1 was the big hit for Keystone.

In Game 2, Stockton scored five runs in the second to put the game away.

George Eisenhart had a home run while Travis Marra and Mike Bush (Southern Regional) each had two hits. Marra also drove in a run, while Bush scored one run.

Winning pitcher Brendan Stout struck out six in five innings, allowing seven hits and one earned run.

Cumberland County baseball: The Vineland school (7-1) took two from the County College of Morris, 11-4 and 2-1.

In the first game, winning pitcher Cody Stashak (Oakcrest) went 51/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with two strikeouts and three walks.

Stashak (2-0) had two hits, including a solo home run in the second inning.

Tim Gallagher (Hammonton) was 3-for-4 with four RBIs.

Curtis Gift (Wildwood) and Marvin Evans (Lower Cape May Regional) each had two hits for the winners.

In the second game, Joe Palmer (2-0) went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts and one walk.

Gallagher had two hits. Anthony Lopez (Buena Regional) was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple. Stashak was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
