Christopher Nielsen (Pinelands Regional H.S.) picked up a pair of wins for NCAA Division III University of Dubuque (Iowa) on Saturday at the Ozark Duals in Clarksville, Arkansas.
The freshman scored a pin at 184 pounds for Dubuque in a 30-17 win over Ozarks. He also won a 10-9 decision in a 24-19 win over Huntingdon.
Brown’s C.J. LaFragola (St. Joseph) won an 8-3 decision at 184 pounds in the first round of the Midlands Tournament on Friday. LaFragola, seeded fifth, suffered an injury default loss in the second round and medically forfeited in the consolation bracket.
Cal Polytechnic State’s Matt Wilhelm (Southern Regional) lost his opening match at 174 at the Midlands, getting pinned by the top seed. He won an 8-4 decision in the consolation before losing again.
Princeton's Patrick D’Arcy (Holy Spirit) picked up a 6-3 decision and medical forfeit win at 141 at the Midlands before dropping a 2-1 decision. On Saturday, he dropped an 8-3 decision to end.
Joe Cutugno (Atlantic City) went 4-1 for Rochester Institute of Technology at the Citrus Open in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. On Friday, he went 3-0, which included two decisions and a major decision. On Saturday, he lost in the semifinals in the winners' bracket and consolation bracket before winning a 4-1 decision in the fifth-place bout.
Justyn Mutts (St. Augustine Prep) scored seven and grabbed two rebounds in High Point’s 76-60 loss to Winthrop on Saturday.
Jahleem Montague (Atlantic City) scored five, grabbed three rebounds and blocked two shots in Longwood’s 84-43 loss to Charleston Southern on Saturday.
Junior Saintel (Holy Spirit) grabbed four rebounds and had two points and a steal in Stony Brook’s 74-68 loss to Norfolk State on Saturday.

Austin Kennedy (St. Augustine) scored 10 and added four rebounds and two assists in Long Island Post’s 93-83 loss to Concordia on Saturday. He grabbed five rebounds and added an assist and a steal in an 88-67 loss to Stonehill on Sunday.
Peyton Wejnert (Southern) scored eight and grabbed seven rebounds in Pace’s 70-55 win over Molloy on Saturday.
Tanner Kerr (Middle Township) grabbed three rebounds and added one point in the University of the Sciences’ 83-58 win over Wilmington on Saturday.
Nate Aldrich (St. Augustine) scored 10 and grabbed six rebounds in Drew’s 68-61 win over Alvernia on Friday. He scored 20, grabbed 12 rebounds and added two assists, two steals and a block in a 94-76 win over DeSales on Saturday.
Ethan Dubois (Southern) scored eight and had four assists in Elizabethtown’s 67-56 loss to Montclair State on Thursday. He had four points, two rebounds and two steals in a 69-53 loss to Nazareth on Friday.
Eric Ray (Southern) scored 11 and grabbed five rebounds in FDU-Florham’s 80-70 loss to LaGrange on Saturday.
C.J. Barnes (Holy Spirit) scored nine, grabbed six rebounds and had three assists in Moravian’s 87-66 win over Bryn Athyn on Saturday. He scored three in a 98-04 loss to Hamilton on Sunday.
Walter Harvey (St. Augustine) had two points and four rebounds in Rowan’s 84-79 loss to Hobart on Saturday. In a 95-92 win over Frostburg State on Sunday, Harvey had two points, two rebounds and a steal, and Ryan Legler (Wildwood Catholic) scored three, had three assists and a steal.
Charlie Riccardi (St. Joseph) scored five in Rutgers-Camden’s 81-65 loss to Baruch on Saturday.
Penn State senior tight end Mike Gesicki (Southern) hauled in six passes for 62 yards in a 35-28 win over Washington on Saturday in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Arizona.
Gesicki wrapped up his season with 563 receiving yards, a team-leading 57 receptions and nine touchdowns (tied for the team lead).
In 51 career games, he caught 129 passes for 1,481 yards and 15 TDs. His receptions and yards are Penn State records for tight ends.
Belmont Abbey's Liam Maxwell (Southern) was named to the 2018 Karch Kiraly watch list by Off the Block, a volleyball website that ranks and covers Division I and II men's volleyball last week. The Karch Kiraly watch list recognizes the top 27 outstanding outside attackers in the country. Belmont Abbey's season starts Jan. 12. Freshmen Brennan Davis (Southern) and Collin Lockwood (Southern) are also on the team.
