The Richard Stockton College baseball and softball teams will play first-round games Tuesday in their respective New Jersey Athletic Conference tournaments.

Both tournaments consist of six teams and have a double-elimination format.

The NJAC tournament winners will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III tournaments.

The Stockton baseball team, seeded fourth, will play third-seeded Rowan University at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Glassboro.

The winner will meet the winner between No. 2 William Paterson and fifth-seeded Ramapo at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of the higher seed.

The loser between Stockton and Rowan will face the winner between No. 1 Kean (the three-time defending champion) and sixth-seeded The College of New Jersey at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of the higher seed.

The Stockton softball team, seeded fourth, will play-seeded TCNJ at 4 p.m. Tuesday in a first-round game in Ewing Township.

The winner will advance to meet the winner between No. 2 Montclair State and fifth-seeded William Paterson at 3 p.m. Friday at Rowan in the second round.

The Stockton-TCNJ loser will play the winner between top-seeded Rowan, the defending champion, and No. 6 Kean at 1 p.m. in Glassboro.

The rest of the tournament brackets will be determined after the second rounds.
