Stockton University women’s basketball players Sasha Williams and Najha Treadwell were voted to the All-Eastern College Athletic Conference Team on Thursday.
Williams was selected to the first team for a second straight season while Treadwell earned second-team honors. The pair were the only two players in the New Jersey Athletic Conference to average a double-double for the season.
Williams blocked 4.26 shots per game, leading the NJAC and currently leads all of NCAA Division III. She averaged 11.4 points per game, 17.1 points per game, 3.1 assists per game and has 115 blocked shots.
Williams is the school’s all-time leading rebounder (1,212) along with blocks (547), and is fourth all-time in scoring (1,489), sixth in assists (241) and 10th in steals (173). Her block total is second in D-III history. Treadwell led the NJAC in field goal percentage (.627) for the fourth consecutive season and ranks third nationally. She averaged 10. 6 rebounds and 17 points per game.
Treadwell, who started her career at Kean, finished with 1,503 points and 1,028 rebounds.
Stockton softball: The Ospreys’ doubleheader with Neumann was postponed Thursday. and hasn’t been rescheduled.
Stockton (1-1) heads to the National Training Center in Clermont, Florida, for a six-day trip that includes 10 games. The Ospreys play noon Sunday against Anderson University (Indiana) and 2:30 p.m. against Framingham State to start the trip.
