The Richard Stockton College softball team won the ECAC Metro Champion-ship on Sunday with two victories in Galloway Township: 7-1 over Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham in the semifinals and 7-2 over Sage College in the final.

The tournament was shortened to single-elimination after Saturday’s rainouts.

Stockton, which finished the season 33-11, also won ECAC titles in 1985, 1986 and 2008.

Grace Long (Egg Harbor Township) went 2-for-3 in the final with a double, a three-run triple and two runs. Long also hit a two-run single in the first inning of the semifinal.

Stockton pitcher Michelle Pietrocola won both games and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Pietrocola (18-6) was 3-0 in the tournament with a 0.91 ERA in 152/3 innings.

Nicole Tomo went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs for the Ospreys against Sage. Tomo, Nichole Terreri and Nicole Scanlon each had two hits.
