Stockton volleyball team advances in NCAA volleyball tournament

The Richard Stockton College women’s volleyball team broke a five-game losing streak in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament with a 3-2 victory over Johns Hopkins at Salisbury University in Maryland on Friday.

Game scores were 19-25, 25-15, 21-25, 25-23 and 16-14.

Nicole Serekian and Stephanie Warner each posted a match-high 22 kills. Mayan Alvarado led the team in assists with 26 and digs with 17, while Shannon Clark had 22 assists.

The Ospreys (28-6) move on to face the winner of host Salisbury and Mount St. Mary College, which is going on now.
