Philadelphia Eagles fans are going to have to wait a while to get autographs during training camp this summer.
As previously announced, the team will be changing its routine at Lehigh University by holding its more intense practice of the day in the afternoon. The Eagles will stage a daily walkthrough at 8:15 a.m., followed by a full practice at 2:45 p.m. The autograph sessions will be held following the afternoon practice (around 5 p.m.) instead of after the morning workout as in past years.
Eagles coach Andy Reid explained during the minicamp two weeks ago that he was revising the schedule in hopes that the players would be better rested and more hydrated for the more strenuous practices.
The Eagles will open their 17th training camp at Lehigh when rookies, quarterbacks and selected veterans report on July 22. The rest of the team is due on July 25 with the first full-team practice slated for July 27. They will be at Lehigh until Aug. 15.
The Eagles will also be bringing back their annual Flight Night at Lincoln Financial Field on Aug. 26 after a one-year hiatus. Tickets for that event, which benefits the Eagles Youth Partnership, range from $12 for children 12 and under to $30 for Club Level seating.
The Eagles open the preseason on Aug. 9 against Pittsburgh at the Linc. Their first regular-season game is Sept. 9 at Cleveland. Their home-opener is Sept. 16 against Baltimore.
