Biggest rise: Cincinnati (26th to 17th)

Biggest fall: San Diego (14th to 22nd)

1. Houston (5) — Big win over Bears gives them top spot

2. Green Bay (4) — Packers can earn share of NFC North lead today

3. Denver (6) — Broncos’ defense gets overshadowed

4. New England (7) — Nearly blew it against Buffalo

5. Pittsburgh (8) — Roethlisberger’s injury could spell trouble

6. Baltimore (9) — 55 points vs. Oakland a club record

7. Atlanta (1) — Best they can do now is 15-1

8. Chicago (2) — Not very good without Jay Cutler

9. San Francisco (3) — Tying Rams is like a loss

10. Indianapolis (10) — Colts could be headed to playoffs

11. Tampa Bay (12) — Josh Freeman is back

12. New Orleans (15) — Saints are suddenly alive

13. Seattle (16) — Seahawks are 5-0 at CenturyLink Field

14. Minnesota (18) — Adrian Peterson for MVP

15. New York Giants (11) — Giants have a lot of problems

16. Tennessee (20) — Titans’ defense finally came through

17. Cincinnati (26) — Dominated the Giants

18. Dallas (25) — No interceptions for Tony Romo

19. Detroit (13) — Calvin Johnson’s effort was wasted

20. Buffalo (24) — Defense finally came through vs. Dolphins

21. Miami (17) — Problems continued vs. Bills

22. San Diego (14) — Norv Turner on his way out

23. Philadelphia (19) — Nick Foles gets his chance

24. Washington (23) — Redskins could climb out of basement today

25. St. Louis (30) — Tying 49ers is like a win

26. New York Jets (21) — Might as well try Tim Tebow

27. Carolina (22) — Cam Newton took a beating against Broncos

28. Cleveland (27) — May upset Cowboys today

29. Arizona (29) — Open week probably won’t help

30. Oakland (28) — Raiders’ defense filled with holes

31. Kansas City (32) — Effort vs. Steelers was impressive

32. Jacksonville (31) — Lack of effort vs. Colts was disturbing
