Saturday was the Eastern Divisional Championships in all classes.

Brown, of Galloway Township Township, finished fourth both days in the Jersey Speed Skiffs class.

A skiff is not a hydroplane. It has a classic powerboat hull and has two people aboard, a driver and a riding mechanic. Brown drove his boat Kiss (JS65), and son Warren Brown IV of Mays Landing was the riding mechanic.

Jersey Speed Skiffs had 12 boats Saturday and nine Sunday.

Carr, of Egg Harbor Township, was the riding mechanic for driver Tom Petterson of Blairstown (Warren County), and Pewtterson’s boat Lap Dancer (JS77) finished third in the Jersey Speed Skiffs class on Saturday and second on Sunday.
