Reports about superior fishing this past weekend keep coming in. Add the waters behind North Wildwood and Strathmere to the list of area producing great flounder action.

Debbie Mooers from Grassy Sound Marina in North Wildwood reported the keeper ratio in Jenkins Sound and Turtle Creek is approaching "half and half", plus weakfish and sea bass are consistent back there with an occasional striped bass popping up.

For example, Steve Crane of Pierce's Point took out a Grassy rental and came back with two stripers, a flounder, a 16-inch weakfish and some sea bass.

Mooers said everyone comes back with at least one keeper.

A report from Frank's Boat Rentals in Strathmere described the "better than normal" flounder season continuing. Topping a long list of outstanding catches from Frank's was Natalie and Frank Hettler of Doylestown, Pa. with 19 1/4, 19 1/2 and 21 2/3 inch flounder.

The best fishing in that area seems to have moved more to the area of Flat Creek, the main channel and Strathmere bay. Strips of squid with minnows is a good bait combo.
